3080 replacement thermal pads question..

As per title..
What are the recommended brand of thermal pads for such a card?
I'm replacing them because I need to split the card to fit a new fan that has arrived today.

I use the Geild GP Ultimate pads on my 6700XT with good results. They have a heat conductivity of 15W/mK. Non-corrosive and stuff like that. Pretty easy to work with and easy to cut to shape etc. Just make sure you get the right thickness as they do not compress very much.

I used Gelid GP Extreme which have a lower heat conductivity of 12W/mK but compress more than the ultimates.

You need to check the other thread round here. I think depending on when you bought you need thicker or thinner pads.

I bought extreme 2.0 (die side only plan) but never used them as I went straight to a block in the end.

So I can't say if they would work on my card with a date stamp of 18-06-2021
