Hey guys,

Recently my Inno3D Twin X2 OC 3080 has been artifacting and after I sent it back to RMA I was told to wait a month for a manufacturers response and if they didn't respond I would be offered either a refund or a replacement of the exact same card or similar card and I was reassured this would be the case.

The day rolls around and I give OCUK a call and I was given two options , cancel my order and get a full refund of £650 or get put in priority queue for the card.

I am a bit disappointed because I was reassured that the refund would be the worst scenario and I would most likely get a replacement however when I asked they said there was no replacements in stock and or coming and my best bet would be to cancel or to get put in the queue.

What I find weird is that I was offered a refund of £650 which is how much I bought the card at , although the card is listed on their website over £1,000 , but I know for a fact if it was the other way around and I bought it for £1000 and its worth £650 i would be forced to take £650 :P

I wonder how long I am going to wait now because of an manufacturers issue and lack of replacement avalible from OCUK

I would be really disappointed if they stopped making them , and what's an LHR?

Regardless I just feel kind of lied to , customer service promised me that I would get an replacement of a similar card and I should be fine however now I am being urged to refund and told just to wait in the queue...

Nope, OCUK have said a few times now mainly by Gibbo that they are selling cards at a loss to fulfil preorders. The cards and prices you see on their website now are the actual prices the cards should be selling for as prices have increased dramatically from the manufacturer.

You could be waiting for awhile, there's been no updates as far as i'm aware of any 3080 drops for OCUK or anywhere else for that matter (don't count FE's).

Damn...that sucks.

I waited 2 months for my card , used it for 6 months , it artifacts and now who knows how many months I have to wait for a new one , really unlucky here...

Indeed mate, that's pretty bad luck.

In all honesty, i would take the refund and see if you can purchase another or maybe even a AMD card. You definitely won't be finding another 3080 AIB card for £650 though, 3070 maybe as ocuk dropped a few vision 3070's for £600 recently.

Personally for me taking the refund is the worst possible scenario in this case, I would be taking such a huge loss because not only am I losing potential money, I will never be able to find any card for £650 that performs the same as an RTX 3080.

I took an loss with the artifacting and if i accept the refund it will be a double loss and not finding a card for 650 its a triple loss its just all so bad lol

The worse thing is, even if you joined the priority queue there's no date as to when you'll receive your replacement...

That's true however with the priority queue , I will be guaranteed a card when Inno3D do their next shipment, or when a similar card does their next shipment, so I am a bit safe, I think I may get a card in a month or so ,or atleast i hope

Worst case I'd imagine they're sitting on a few 3080tis that they've been unable to list on their site. Ask if you could step up to the cheapest (slightly more powerful) at MSRP (think FEs are £1050?) and pay difference if you find that acceptable and can afford?

Leave it in the queue and buy another card - sell new card when 3080 comes back in stock. If you have the funds that is. Get a 0% credit card - extra protection and 2 years interest free.

And if you paid £1000 for the same 3080 then you'd be refunded £1000. You wouldn't be refunded £650 if you paid £1000 unless it was years into a long 5 year warranty. Yours is in the 1st year.

Maybe INNO3D prioritize other countries. Especially with import shenanigans post Brexit.

Or take the £650 and get a PS5

I'd wait for a replacement card if all you paid was £650. Regardless of the current listed prices that's all you would be entitled too. And what are the chances you would get a 3080 again for £650 in the current market or foreseeable future.
