If the card is new rather then used then perhaps you could argue the case. This warranty applies only to the original purchasers of the Warranted Products from an NVIDIA-authorized third party or www.nvidia.com ; this warranty will not extend to any person that acquires a Warranted Product on a used basis.

they are supplying invoice for it, but can I still register the warranty once collected?

No idea, thought you were talking about buying new at retail.so the warranty is transferable on Zotac, assuming the gpu is new?
According to nVidia's warranty terms, if you have proof of purchase from an authorised vendor AND did not buy the product on a used basis, they will honour the warranty for 2 years from the date listed on said proof of purchase.

You have acquired a Warranted Product on an unused basis and have proof of the purchase from an, presumably, authorized third party seller. There are no grounds for them to dishonour this warranty in your case.
Also, they aren't exactly in the business of sending private investigators out to figure out if they can avoid sorting warranty claims and realistically whoever the person is at the desk that scopes out the RMA claims will just be like "yeah whatever" and click it through anyway.
Evga the only one I know which is transferrible and you get 3 years I think. Thanks for the input guys, I pulled out of the deal. I have my eye on a Zotac card, what’s warranty situation on these?
something else is when it goes in for warranty they reset it back to two years from the date of the RMA
As long As u have original recipe or invoices Or whatever that thing is called, u are the original owner.
That's not correct. Even on a brand new replacement the warranty is still from the original cards purchase date otherwise you could keep climing under the warranty just before it ran out and never need buy a new card again. That's the way it has always been for any component.
How on earth do you reckon that? Different name, different address regardless if you have the invoice or not. The person who originally purchased it is the original buyer and whether the card is still sealed in it's box or not anybody else is buying a second hand item most likely with no warranty. That's a hell of a chance to take on a very expensive graphics card.

Three (3) years from the date of purchase of your new Warranted Product (the "Warranty Period").

Buy your Nephew a GFX card? You must be for sure the "cool" uncle/aunt.If you have the original invoice then it's usually fine - it covers gifting i.e. I buy my nephew a graphics card for his birthday.
