Hi all its been a while.
just bought a 3080ti fe and i am looking for a upgraded power supply cable for the card. My power supply is a corsair ax1200. looking for a heavier gauge cable than the one supplied by nvidia.

Contact Corsair themselves, they'll have one for that power supply. It's a very decent unit and they will have a cable for it. Will obviously cost some cash, but they will have the cable you're after and I think they ship worldwide.

Hopefully. In their cable compatibility chart it appears to use custom cables that no other Corsair PSU use (hence, it is incompatible with the 12VHPWR cable they sell @ retail), very strange.

thanks for your responses . so do you think a Diy cable is the best option. Made plenty of pc cables up in the past. What socket type does the 3080 ti fe use? are they available to purchess?

Wouldn't recommend it. The pcie 6/8 pin connector were massively derated by pcisig and could handle 350w based on the pin size and a suitable wire guage but was only rated to 150w. So any issues with your custom cables wouldn't make much if any difference.
The 12pin is a different beast, it's more or less right up at the limit at 400w.
Stick with the adaptor you already have and maybe figure something out next time you upgrade the GPU.
