Fuel prices shouldnt be a big problem as my company pays 0.48 pence per mile but suggestions and thoughts welcome

im really leaning towards the M3 purely for the speed and colour but i think it might be the 5 series after all it still has a 4.4 V8

The Astons an auto. disapointing.

I'd rather the M3 as oposes to the 545 but surely that one all comes down to the size of car you want?

That m3 looks gorgeous in that colour

DB7's a bit old and dull imo.

The 545i while being a great car is a barge.

And I've never liked Mercs...

So I'm pretty sure you can guess what my choice would be :p

size isnt a big factor, i take a small holdall with me whereever i go thats about it , the only passengers would be the gf or one or two work mates but it isnt really that big an issue

Edit: yep the M3 really looks good , cant decide over the 5er or the M3 the gf loves the SL for obvious reasons and i really like its looks , the only merc i do like i just cant decide! someone tell me why the rest are crap and the M3 wins! :p

You have nearly all German there, with one British. The aston is, IMO not the right choice. Thats more of a weekend car I feel, many may not agree but I just don't think thats the kind of car you'd buy for every day usage.

I've always like Merc's, but the M3 is going to give more fun for bang per buck.. Next door neighboor has a 545i and it's a very big car, but theirs is nicely spec'd out.

but if it was me, and size wasn't important i'd go with the M3. It's just more fun, and looks way cooler then the rest.. If size was important, the 545. The BMW is giving more value for your money, although BMW are sometimes regarded as a poor mans rich car.

But, hey can I just say - M3.. Did I say M3. Yep, M3..

m3 it is then ill arange a test drive with my dealer tomorrow and then see what he has to offer on approved used cars. will write up a full test drive report tomorrow :D

If the Merc wasn't LHD, I'd say go for that. The Aston is old, dated and will cost you a fortune to run. The M3 is probably the one I would go for out of that and the E60.

The Aston's servicing costs are scary. The M3 or the SL makes the most sense.

Perhaps a 911 if you want something a bit sportier.

Yeah the Merc is Auto and LHD which would put me off and make it a lot harder to sell in the future, that colour on the M3 looks awesome.

trust me it doesn't in real life , Laguna Seca blue is a disaster

having said that the M3 would be my choice , well it would really , wouldn't it ? :p

M3 for me and i disagree with you rotty i love the blue

have you seen Seca blue in real life , this is not Estoril Blue , many dealers will not touch this colour ( or white ) and it tends to sell at around a £2000 discount to the stronger colours

£20,950......that makes it sound affordable to the likes of me!! How tempting is that?!

Out of those cars I would go for the M3, one of my friends fathers, who was in Ferrari ownership before he retired went from a 575M, to an SL500, which he hated, so he swapped it for an M3 convertible and is pretty happy with it. I wouldnt consider a DB7 either, and the 545 is way too big and not even a sport model.

You can pick up an RS6 for a little over 30K I think :D You would destroy everything!!
