31.5″ IPS-type Panel with 4K @ 144Hz with 1 Million Zone Dimming Backlight!

Very nice... although probably nearly 2 years before we see this on shelves, all going well. And price will be nuts of course. But good 32" is getting some attention at last!
 
Yeah it probably will take it time, and as you say: cost thereafter. But sure it's nice things moving on; finaly :)
Im a little hesistant about that 7ms tho. My PG does 5 ms, so going down some more doesent sound as good. But we will see!

Indeed in 16:9 everything below 32" is small.
And even that is slightly lower than 30" 16:10...
Also from 2560x1600 even 2560x1440 would be downgrade.

Response time in marketing material is as much about how honest marketers are or do they cherry pick best transitions as about real advance.
One of the biggest factors is really how agressive response time compensation/"overdrive" is used.
