£316 cpu and motherboard help

Hi my motherboard I think has died so its time to upgrade only the motherboard and CPU.

Now I have £316 for all this does anyone know which is the best bang for the buk for CPU and motherboard?

This for 1080p gaming and video encoding ie video converter and light aftereffects work. Nothing 4k just 1080p.

I have DDR 3 memory and 550 power supply. I have a case and SSD hard drive. I would like this motherboard to have wifi and Bluetooth built in. So what cpu do you think I should get?

Can some help me pick the best cpu and motherboard. I am coming from Haswell-WS.

Ryzen 3600 probably, or step down to the 2000 series.

If you desperately need wifi/bluetooth you would need to drop down to a 2600 or something, personally I'd just buy an expansion card for the listed mobo.

Sounds very good but will my
Silverstone Argon SST-AR02 CPU Cooler - 92mm
HS-008-SV work with AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six Core 4.2GHz as the cpu was not out then so what should i do?

The V2 of that cooler supports AM4, you may be able to buy a bracket from Silverstone to make yours compatible if you get in touch with them. That said, the 3600 doesn't generate a lot of heat and would be fine even with the stock/included heatsink.
