As title, I use an old 19" IIyama CRT which I need to replace. Also thinking of buying a large screen as apart form photo editing I mainly just watch movies (or internet) on this PC. Anyone used a cheap 32" LCD for photo editing?

Any major issues in colour, calibration, contrast, sharpness, pixel-pitch??
Thinking of an LG/Philips/Samsung etc.

actually my boy uses a hanspree in his bedroom 32" on mini mac and he does his editing i can bring them on to my calibrated monitors and make no changes they look great as well very bright ,, his is only 720p but usually uses the 1080i on the mac.

I use my LG 32" 5700 (1080p) and nobody has complained about photos I have posted being completely off so it must be ok :p

www.prad.de always used to be an excellent place for technical reviews of screens. Long story short, any "reasonable" screen can be made excellent if you're willing to spend the time calibrating it.
