Hey All,

I'm currently waiting for a 4k, 120Hz+ IPS or OLED monitor (not a ultrawide). Minimum size is 32", maximum is 40". Any news on such panels?

I've also heard rumour that LG may release a 40" OLED 'TV', such as the awesome C9 range. Once HDMI 2.1 cards are out this will be a real option, though haven't found much in the way of news of the 40" yet.

I'm aware all of the above will be expensive, I'm prepared to pay a pretty penny for an awesome 4K monitor :)

I was thinking the same as the OP but I just bit the bullet and got a LG C9, Just completed the setup today. The C9 beats every other monitor and all the stupidly expensive Nvidia BFGD.

As for HDMI cards to run at a full 4k 120hz we need HDMI 2.1 as HDMI 2.0 doesnt have the bandwith, Plus there is no card that can run full fat 4k 120hz at the moment :o

Nice, looks a good setup. How are you finding it? What did you upgrade from?

I was planning on a 55" C9 but after the Half Life Alyx trailer, I'll be getting a Index first! That will give me a bit more time to see if any 30-40" OLED/IPS panels come out, though I think I'm very likely to get a OLED TV at this point, hopefully the rumoured 48" is out early next year.
