I'm torn between a 32" 4k or 49" 5120x1440p (U/W) OLEDs. My usage profile is as such:

- 45% gaming ~12 hr/week, 55% productivity ~14 hr/week
- I don't care about super-high refresh rate. Current monitor is a 32" 4k IPS 144hz Gigabyte which is more than enough
- I do care about color accuracy and HDR, but I'm not doing creative work so no need for perfection
- I used to have a 35" VA Acer ultrawide which I really liked and am familiar with pros/cons of wide aspect ratio. I actually went back and forth between 4k and U/W for a while and moved to 4k mostly because my wife commandeered the U/W for work
- I do a good amount of coding (Python, JS) and Excel, Git
- I play all kinds of games, but lean towards RTS and CRPGs
- Budget up to £1200

Has anyone done a side-byside comparison here? What would you suggest?

I’ve just gone for the 32 from Philips. I’m moving from a 42” TV which isn’t the best for gaming.

Mixed usage for me, work during the day and games and TV watching at night.

Edit. I had both the 32 and 49 in my basket and ordered the wrong one - 49 instead of the 32. I can be stupid at times. Web ticket into OcUK. Gee.

Is there a 2025 DP 2.1 version of the pg32ucdm yet?
Not yet, but with the amount of stores putting it on sale for around 20-30% of RRP, I assume something is coming. Find it hard to believe that the release of the 27" 4k panels is having this much of an effect on the 32" variants
