Hi,

Looking to buy a new monitor over the next few months, i've had my current one for 7 years and back then it was a win from a OCUK Easter egg image competition ( so i guess its lasted well)

Anyway time has moved on and i should have about £800 - 1k to splash out on a 4k OLED monitor to use with my 5070TI

With CES just occurring what should i consider / look out for. big fan of LG but don't think there is much great ones out from them atm. so open to suggestions

one must have is that it needs to be a Flat screen, its for 3D work / Game Dev and play but mostly 3D work, no Curved displays please

Thanks

P

I've had a LG 32GS95UV for over a year now and can't fault it for a mix of work (macOS) and gaming (Windows PC)

The MSI monitors were on sell last week but I missed out annoyingly.

Hoping with a little patience I can snag the MSI or ASU’s monitors on deal somewhere.

Damn, it's a shame you missed out on the sale. I was just about to come recommend the 321URX.
Currys Clearance had the white version down to £560 so decided to give it a go.

Not sure on the white bottom frame so will see what it looks like when it comes.

I'd love an Oled but as it would be 75% productivity (also 3d work) and 25% gaming I would be worried about screen burn, are you not as bothered? My sons MSI looks amazing, but he only games on it so screen burn not really a worry for him.

I've been running my 34" OLED for over a year and I have zero burn-in.

I've done the Pixel and panel refreshes when prompted and I honestly cannot see a thing, even when doing the EIZO monitor test.

I belive burn-in IS possbile but if you're switcing apps throughout the day, it's quite rare.
