32-bit & 64-bit Forceware 91.36 WHQL

WHQL = Certified by MS. Pretty sure there's been WHQL'd BETA drivers in the past?
Certification by Microsoft (WHQL) is pretty much exactly what makes them official. :p Nvidia and ATI can't officially release drivers that have anything to do with DirectX until Microsoft look over them with a fine toothed comb.

They've released non-WHQL drivers as official in the past though :p

I know, usually ones that never had anything to do with DirectX. I only remember a couple of ForceWare and Catalyst drivers being released in the past without WHQL certification, and they were specifically ones with only OpenGL optimisations IIRC.

These drivers are Official.

Downloaded them earlier today and they are fine so far, it's the only actualy 9x.xx set which I'm happy with atm. Games appear ok, but I've only tested with SoFII (awesome game :p) and PES5. No annoying new CP either which is good, and the SLI Ballon has gone as well. :)

So far no problems, and peeps at Guru3D seem to like them as they give higher 3DMark scores too.

wait do these drivers use the classic control panel and not the crappy new one? if thats true then i may do the switch to these drivers too.

ok got these on download now. will see what all the fuss is about. thread over at guru3d suggests that these are the best 9 series drivers released so far.

right awsome stuff these drivers. there has deffo been a speed increase with them for me. just tested 2 games: Flat Out 2 and Toca race driver 3. both games run brilliant at 1600x1200 with 16xAF no AA used. shocked at how smooth the games are running with minimum framerate in the 40s

gotta love the 7600gt. phenominal card for the cash.

no difference to overclocks with the new drivers. and still the ramis limited to 840mhz  and there is a stupid core speed option of 1.12ghz. they need to up the ram speed. even if they set the limit to 900mhz thats plenty.

looks like im downloading some new drivers!, i was gonna get round to posting bout the ali balloon also but looks like i needn't bother now =] thanx guys
