Im thinking of building a system and was wondering which will be better? 32-Bit or 64-Bit Vista Home Premium?

The PC will mainly be used for word, Excel, Internet, Games such as GTA 4, The SIMs 2 & 3 (When it comes out) Half Life ect..

Very little reason to stick with 32-bit now (unless you're using old hardware with limited driver support). If you're going for Vista, just grab the 64-bit version.

Obviously your system will consist of a CPU that can handle 64bit instructions, and obviously it will have or eventually have 4GB of ram - so why would you stifle it's performance with a 32bit OS?

The question imo shouldn't even bear asking in this day and age.

The CPU I will be getting is a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 2.90GHz Dual Core and 4GB of Memory (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Kit.
