Im looking to buy a new monitor, this new one will specificially be used for driving games, from both my Xbox360 and PC...

Im used to running a 24" Dell 2407 but im thinking bigger is better, so 30"+ would be very nice, but id like to keep the resolution to about 1920x1200 as i know my current PC will run games great at that.

Im currently thinking alone the lines of these;

28" OcUK Monitor @£450

Dell 2707 @£540

Samsung 32" LCD TrueHD @£640

LG 42" LCD TrueHD @£690

Im open to any suggestions, price wise I want to spend under £1000 really.

You are better off with an with an lcd tv as the 360 doesn't output at 1920*1200. Your monitor will have to scale to match the resolution the 360 is outputting meaning you get a less than sharp picture. My samsung does a half decent job of scaling but it's not good enough for me so i'm on the look out for a 32"-40" lcd tv.

Also if you get an lcd tv then you can run the PC to match whatever the native resolution of your lcd tv is, this way you get the best of both worlds.

If you really need to go for a monitor than i'd recommend this one:

It claims to have high quality screen rescaling capability.

Sorry, my bad. I've done a little research into HDTVs and it seems that the Samsungs and Sonys are leading the way. Can't go wrong with either really. I've seen the Sony Bravia 1080 range first hand and i was very impressed, so i'd recommend it. Will set you back around 700 for 32".
