I am interested in getting a 32" LCD to use with my xbox360 and as my main PC display.

I would love to hear from you guys who are actually doing this to hear your thoughts

Photos would be nice too :D

Thanks!

I have a 42" in the lounge but I think it would look a bit too big in the computer room.

I think 32" would be the biggest I could get away with to be honest

Just spotted the 360 part when i first read your post, and not the fact that you wanted it as a PC monitor too, should've put 2+2 together as you posted in the monitors section, doh!

Trouble with using 32" LCDTV as your main PC display is the resolution - 1366*768 doesn't give you much desktop space and it's a bit limited when browsing the web (maybe that's just because I'm used to 1680*1050 though, so it probably depend on what res you're used to). For games though it's excellent, although beware that LCDTVs can be very bright compared to PC monitors. For instance my Dell 2007 is 300 cd/m2, whereas my LG 32LC2D is 500 cd/m2, and because of that I would never use it closer than about 4 foot. I could never use it sat on my desk at say 2 foot viewing distance - too bright, too big at that range, plus the pixels would be too big. I would much rather use something like a Dell 2407WFP (although that's rated at 450 cd/m2 brightness so who knows).

Well, there is one, only available in the states at the moment, but was released there in January, so should be making it's way over here soon, the Sharp Aquos LC-32GP1U, 32" with 1920x1080 res. It's a new line of gamer specific LCD-TVs.

Should be a good buy if/when they make it to this side of the ocean, as anything over 32" is just too big imo (for my desk anyway)

I'd reccomend one of the samsung R7 models (or one of those newer ones with 3xhdmi :P), I've used my 360 on one for about 8 months now and no problems, be sure to use vga over 360 though as the pictures a lot sharper.
