Sorry to keep asking the question that everybody else does, but what is a good LCD HDTV in the £600-£1000 price range (preferably on the lighter end of the scale :p). Anything bigger in my room would just be ridiculous, but if there are bigger screens in that price range that are good it would be worth taking them into consideration.

The Hyundai Vvuon's look pretty cheap (available from OCUK) and they have the good HD resolution of 1366x768, and I assume they have VGA connectors so I'll be able to plug my PC into it?

I've seen that a lot of people like the Samsung hidef tellys, but are they any good and are they in the price range?

the hyundai can be had for around £570inc I think. so definately under your £600 budget

How does the picture quality hold up? The idea of having a Freeview box integrated in the Samsung sounds excellent... I'll look into that, cheers.

I've never like the integrated approach, for one I think you pay over the odds for the tuner inside and have no choice over it's selection. Furthermore if they upgrade anything in the future your stuffed. When you can get great tuners from £30 from Asda's what is the point.

re: the hyundai.. I haven't heard any bad things said but as I don't own one I wouldn't care to comment. Better contrast ratio than the samsung suggested though.

Why would you be stuffed? Surely it frees up a scart socket, and if you had a freeview box which they upgraded (to HD freeview for example) then you'd use the HDMI connection or another scart socket, wouldnt you?

Man, Im tempted by the Samsung now, looks like its the shindig... :D
