Right got a budget for £550 but maybe up to £600,excluding delivery. found 2 tv's at the mo which I need help on,

spec: must have freeview built in, thats all

going to be using it mainly for my 360, but also bit of dvd though my console too, also would be handy if I could hook my pc to be displayed on to the tv too but only an option

Found 2

LG 32LC46 32" with DVD Home Cinema System all included in 1 price

and

Samsung 32" LE32R88LC with a HTX30 HTK all included in 1 price

Now with both above I can get discount of 10% but not sure about the quality or reviews as can't find any on the net so thought you guys could help, as this is my first LCD tv yet!

Apparently the Panasonic TX-32LMD70, is the best bit of 32 kit you can get around that budget. If you look online you can get them for a shade under £500. It has freeview built in too, and is meant to have pretty much the best picture out of any tv in its approximate price range. That'd give you the remaining budget to pickup your choice of decent dvd player, or perhaps a cheaper upscaling one, like the samsung that was floating around for less than £100.

just setup an S3000 for a mate

wasnt impressed. If your having it as a bedroom telly it was fine, but just not good enough to be your main telly imho

Sony D3000 for the win. At least on the sony you can turn 100hz processing off if you require, on the panasonic, theres no way at all of turning it off !

and the "hand held camera" effect of 100hz processing isnt desirable to everyone.

Cheapest price is £623 on www.pricerunner.co.uk, so only slightly over budget

but HDTV Test rated it the best 32" available. Read more here

it is

should have mentioned which model i was referring to when i said "the"

Sorry, I thought you were directly responding in kind to my recommendation :)
Which still stands, as like you mentioned, I've heard 100Hz fixes issues and introduces other - ie its not all its worked up to be.

Woah there are quite a few recommendations here! Lets see shall we?

There's the Sony: D3000 , 32S3000 bravia, KDL-32D3000.

and Panasonic TX-32LMD70

Not sure about this 100mhz thing, not sure if its going to be an issue just to watch tv, dvd's and 360'ing but hmm..

Well going to check those out specs and all and see if I can get them cheaper at some of the stores, was window shopping at the Samsung 32" LE32R88LC and wow just looks nice, picture quality could be a lot better but then again it was running a demo but things that tilting towards the R88 is that I can get discount of the tv and that it includes the speaker set which would be handy for my 360 but...none the less, will consider and do abit of research on the above tv's mentioned!

thanks all for the replies! Very helpful!!
