Hello,

Just wondering if these big lcd screens are any good for computer output as you seem to get a lot more for your money over large computer monitors. If a lcd screen is ok what resolution and connectivity interface should i be looking for. I am buying the ati hd 4850 gpu if that helps.

I'm using a 32" Sony LCD for the display on my TV PC posting this, sitting about 4/5ft away. Crisp as you like, easy on the eye to read and good enough for web, photoshop, and gaming. Running over VGA, because the DVI --> HDMI out of the NV card looks all washed out and the scaling sucks.

What TV and card is that?

Im moving to a 32" W4000 using an 8800GTS 512Mb and assumed DVI-HDMI would work perfect...

I doubt you could see a difference between that an a 2407WFP at only a couple of feet away - its going from 0.27 to 0.36 dot pitch (mm), so about 0.1mm...

Currently hooked up to a 32" Sony KDL 32S2030 using VGA at 1360x768, sitting 2-4 foot away, and I have to say it looks and plays fine - although will be getting a 22" Monitor when I finish building my desk (if I ever do ;) )

Umm, it's an S series - can't remember the model though. The graphics card is a cheapy 8600GT, played around with it for a while but couldn't crack it so gave up in the end. The more recent driver releases might crack it though.

ive tried a 46" at 1080p and it looks absolutely fantastic...even getting up close it looks great.
i havent tried it for any long periods so im not sure how it would work out in the long run but i think if its a decent lcd then u would be fine aslong as u were sat far enough to get the whole screen in view

I move my PC to my 32" LG LCD (not the best ever) ever now n then and its spot on tbh. If I had the room I would use one as my main gaming monitor. Altho its not much good for doing work on as there isnt much desktop space.
