After a quick look it seems that this needs M8 screws, is this correct?

Im going to send the original TV mount back but what would you recommend to fit my samsung tv as theres multiple versions of M8 screws and I cant find anything in the manual.

there usually 10 or 12 mm long but m8 10/12 is a funny size I had the same problem with my lg, luckily I had some about the right size in my box of bits , a few washers from screwfix and all sorted

M8 x10/12 is a standard size but I agree that they're not easy to get hold of for retail consumers. At work we use these all the time, both cap head and button head but we have a supplier who we bulk purchase from in quantities of 100+.

If you're going into plasterboard, then you need some wall anchors to fix the bracket to the wall. The self-drill fixings may be OK if you're using several of them to take the load, otherwise something heavier duty like spring toggles may be necessary.

a lightweight...
you'll still need proper fixings

the richersounds bracket looks good (if a bit pricey), screw the m8 bolts in gently till they stop check the gap to see if you will need spacers etc

You still need proper fixings to hold the bracket on the wall, but at under 5kg, that's a lightweight TV. My dartboard probably weighs more than that and it's held up with 6 of the self-drill fixings.
