Quick question!

A friend got a 55' 320D almost exactly a yr ago it was serviced and stamped by the dealer. it was initally at 15000 to service countdown, hes only done 9000 but the service interval went faster than the actual miles, last week it was down to 1800 miles, today instead of the amber service interval 'car icon' it was a red car icon with 'service' under it and did not display any miles left..
The car seems fine but i'm hesistant to tell him to drive it until the booked service Saturday.. I've never carried my own 320D this far and get mine serviced regurlarly because i do high mileages. Am i overreacting? :)

It's variable - it changes with usage. He's obviously used it hard or on short trips etc etc so its counted down quicker than it usually would.

Cheers.. figured out the time had expired (10/2010) rather than the miles, so hes estimated about 1800 left before it went 'overdue' and only about 80 miles forseen before the service on Saturday so it'll be fine. He went with National Service network which i was not too happy about but the garage they are using seems to be reputable and a good indy from what people say.

North Circular road works probably battered the engine badly over the last half year, an hour + to cover 5 miles is not funny :)

http://www.nsn.co.uk/ looks like a broker..

Luckily the car isn't going to end up in quikfit or some crap place like that, people i know have used the Indy they are using for his service and have good things to say about it.
