or the 640mb version for 50 pounds more which i can afford to go for aswell?

i can overclock the 640 up to the 320's speeds if i wanted to later on.

+ i run 1680x1050 resolution :)

if you would advise me to go for one of them instead of the other please say so

thank you :)

(EDIT, iv just noticed there are only two ati sections in the graphics and video part of the ocuk website, could this be the r600 here soon? O.o)

if you can afford the extra £50 id go for the 640mb version. A few games will benefit from the extra ram especially when using higher resolutions :)

may i ask how much difference will there be between the 200pound 320mb BFG card and the 640mb 270 pound BFG card please at 1680x1050 resolution?

thank you

£70 and 320mb worth of better graphics... :D

My tft is native 1280x1024 so I went 320MB, my current X1900Pro plays virtually all new games at full detail but started to struggle with ArmA so I ordered an 8800GTS which should run with 1280 no probs, seemed logical. :)

ahhhhhhhhhhhh i still havent made my mind up..

price wise my brain says WOW only 200 pounds for a 8800gts 320mb!!

but greedwise i want a 640mb because iv had a low memory 256mb card allways and iv wanted more allways :(

but iv just relised allso i only got 200 pounds so id not "like" to ask my pairents for 70 pounds more for the 640mb :(

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH..........................

okay can some one slap me lol i dno what to dooooooooo. realisticly 320 should be more than enough at 1680x1050 right?

ah AHHH dno what to do now.

cause i think 70 pounds more? thats not a lot, but then it will lead to, wow only 70 pounds more than that for a 768?...

iv made huge mistakes in buying parts in the past, like going 800 pounds over my 500 pound budget with my last rig lol which turned out to be rubbish compaired to these day stuff.

EDIT, one final question, will a 320mb be enough for one monitor at 1680x1050 and one at 1280x1024 at full quality etc?

Tis true, but only the odd one or two. Im using a 320 GTS @ 1680x1050 ive had to lower the texture settings on some of the more demanding games but everything else is maxed with super aa and super sampling, so the GTS can more than hold its own @ 1680x1050. Ive only had the odd one or two where ive had to tweak a little.

ok, thanks you run 1680x1050 res aswell? which exact card do you have please, and what games did u have to lower quality a bit,? thanks

I had to lower Texture Resolution to Medium in fear, everything else was maxed out max possible, 4x AA and super sampling, got about 70fps average 1680x1050, i also had to lower the texture in Dark messiah but i dont play that game much so meh. Everything else is gravy running silly AA levels and super sampling!
