Given that the max on a laptop memory is normally 4Gb, and that the graphics memory is either 256mb or 512mb.

Is there any advantage of having 64bit Vista over 32bit Vista on a laptop ?

Cheers

Vista 32bit will only recognise 3.5GB of memory.

So if you are planning on using 4GB then use Vista 64bit. It will recognise it all.

Would I see any extra benfits on 64bit from the extra 512mb apart from brench marks ? If something is only a couple of seconds quicker than I guess its not worth the extra.

What are the impression of anyone that has put 64bit on to the same machine after having 32 bit on ?
