i was just looking at the Abit Fatal1ty motherboard and it says it supports upto 32GB Dual-Channel DDR2, does this mean there will be 8GB DDR2 sticks or does it just support that altho the full 32GB cant be used?

DDR3 sticks use a different number of pins and are AFAIK a different shape with the notch in a different place specifically so they cannpt be used in DDR1 and DDR2 slots just like DDR2 was a different size and shape to DDR1.

I really doubt DDR3 will work in DDR2 slots when it arrives.

also, DDR3 voltages will undoubtably be lower.... so plugging into DDR2 that boots at 1.8V may well blow your sticks up, even if they could physicaly fit!
