dont need to squeeze every last drop of performance out of my build but wouldn't like to think i was throttling my build by going for slower ram

3000 mhz kits seem really good value but stepping up to the 34/3600mhz kits seems a massive increase in cost - is there a noticeable performance gain for a rig whos main use will be gaming

The difference in FPS between a popular brand 3000Mhz kit and say the 3600Mhz CL16 8pack kit is up to 15%. However, that is game dependant, you'll likely be in the range of 5-10%.

Here's an interesting article on it.

So guys, I am building a rig with an x570 and a 3600 (I'm not spending much on a CPU until 4000 is released). If I was to get a 32GB kit for this CPU and for the next 4000 CPU and wanted the best price/performance to last me a couple of years... would a set of 3600 CL16 like the G.Skill Trident Z Neo be suitable?
