Hi all,

Can anyone recommend me a 32inch 1440p monitor 144hz (G-sync if possible).

I currently have a 27inch 1440p but feel i would like a larger screen.

Or is 1440p poor at 32inch?

I really enjoy gaming on the LG32GK850F - there's a deal on the G-sync version currently. I'm pretty sure there is also a 650F variant available elsewhere which is the same panel but without any 'HDR' capabilities (HDR is pointless on these monitors anyway).

Anyone know what the MSI Optix MAG321CQR is like? It seems to fit the criteria, something i'm also interested in.

32", 1440p, 144hz, 1ms And seems to be decently priced, No clue if its G-Sync compatible though as it's freesync.

I've got an Asus ROG Strix XG32VQ coming. Looking at the options and reviews in this size and resolution you either need very deep pockets or are able to compromise. I'm not there most demanding of users so hopefully I won't be bothered by three issues reviews highlight. Currently on a 60Hz 1440p IPS monitor and don't notice backlight bleed or IPS glow. Maybe I'm just easily pleased!

Finding a new monitor is tough, I see things I want, 32inch, 1440p, decent price then see like 4-5ms response time.

I'm still tempted by the MAG321CQR, but can't see many reviews about it.
The AOC CQ32G1 looks like another good contender at £340, 31.5inch, 1440p 144hz, 1ms

I'm looking at the £400 mark and i'm adament that I want at least an 30in monitor.

Would I see much of a difference between 1ms and 4-5ms? I play a lot of Overwatch.

Don't get hung up on manufacturer claimed response times, they're relatively meaningless as there is no reference to what it's measured against.

Check out reviews that go into detail on motion response and input lag to determine whether you think the monitor you want is suitable. e.g. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/aorus-ad27qd rated 1 ms response time, neither the motion response nor the input lag are anywhere near 1 ms, but their actual ratings look perfect for gaming with anyway.

I guess, tbf i'm always going to struggle with my budget, What I should be doing is looking at something like a 27" like the dell s2719dgf and that's that, but I think i'm prioritising the 30"+ over anything else.

What I really need to do is up my budget a bit and look at the LG 32GK850F, I was looking for the lG 32GK650F as someone above mentions it's the same panel minus the HDR which I couldn't care about HDR, but I can't seem to find anyone selling that so back to the drawing board.

Unless you are a top tier competitor and probably not even then I don't think you'd see any difference. I would think your internet connection and/or reaction times have a lot more variation than a 3-4ms difference.

Just waiting on a new GPU to test out my XG32VQ. Nice monitor, so far I do think that reviews, whilst not incorrect in what they say can emphasise issues that ordinary users would probably never even know existed. I had the same choice to make, bigger than 32" but didn't have £1k to spend. This monitor seems a decent compromise for gaming and media, for serious photo work look elsewhere :)

Got the XG32VQ yet? What's your thoughts? There's one available locally for £510 which i'm quite tempted to get.

Another update, I bought the Acer Z35p, £900 down to £545 I couldn't turn that down, it's going to be a massive upgrade over my cheap AOC 24" 1080 144hz screen, just need to buy a GPU next

XG32VQ is nice, different from IPS but playing Overwatch is very smooth. I don't see the smearing they say you can get with VA but it is a fast paced game. I would say it's best for media and games not for photo work. Depends how fussy you are :)

I don't do any photowork so VA doesn't bother me, I should be getting my Z35P around 5ish, can't wait, it's going to be a massive upgrade over my AOC monitor.
