Are these no longer in production? I thought this chip came out fairly recently? I can't find one anywhere especially at msrp.

I only want a budget CPU for 1080p gaming, and as far as I can tell the 3300x is the ideal choice. I should have snapped up a 3600 a few months back when they were retailing for £150-160 (where did £218 come from OcUK? wtf)

Either they are legally obliged to put it at this price for 3 weeks, before they can then claim sale discount price and "discount it" back to sub £200 and look like the good guys

or

They know the new AMD cpus' are in short supply, people will give up waiting and just want to go buy a 3600 in the meantime, thus scalping those "waiting for 5*** series" for even more money.

Either way, it's not a good look. I can't imagine anyone is buying them at that price. Takes 2 seconds to see that competitors are pricing these £30+ less.

Has OCUK been taken over by another company or something recently? The prices I see at the moment are ridiculous for some stuff. I got my 3600 elsewhere for about £40 cheaper and my Radeon 5700XT was almost £100 cheaper for the same model. It used to be that the free delivery used to be really handy and offset the costs but their competitors are offering this now whilst being cheaper. Its a great site for choice but it needs an overhaul big time, not to mention a tidy up. Items that have been out of stock for almost 2 years are still showing up on the site!
No idea on that front, but whoever is in charge of this aggressive pricing needs a reality check.
