A friend of mine was gonna sell his 330D for a Cooper S but after driving a 57 plate one today, to say he was disapointed was an understatement.
Now he is gonna keep and get it mapped. with an idea to change the manifold to get rid of the restristive CAT and possibly bigger intercooler.
Where is a good place to start. dont want to flog the engine to death but I would think around 260BHP would be a decent figure to look for.
Car is a 204bhp engine

A remap is meant to see 250bhp on the M57N. E-maps are very good with these (www.e-maps.co.uk).

I don't think bigger intercoolers make much of a difference. The de-cat seems to be a popular option, although I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes (could be the usual BMWland Hearsay).

They sound good with Eisenmann exhausts - that'd be something I would go for if I had another 330d.
