34" Ultrawide & Second Monitor help

Alright bit of an odd one here.

I've been tasked with building a PC from scratch for my brother, I was about to purchase the ASUS XG349C but then found the Dell QD-OLED which looks similar to the ASUS but with the QD-OLED technology. I would purchase the Dell and /thread but it isn't out until April 5th.

This leaves me with no monitor and with a PC in the process of being dispatched. So, in the meantime what monitor are the people of OcUK using as a second monitor with a 34" Ultrawide? My thoughts are to get a reasonable monitor he can use now but then later as a second monitor. The main trouble with this is what size monitor would someone use with such a big widescreen?

Any help appreciated as I'm quite stuck here. Also any images of your setup if you have both would be awesome to help give me some perspective.

Bear in mind that OLED may not be suitable depending on his usage. Should be fine for gaming, but if he uses it for any kind of productivity with static UI elements etc then runs the risk of screen burn (unless they've fixed it with the new tech)

Mostly for gaming and a bit of browsing etc.
