Haha, I mean, its not like nvidia cards have become very popular all of a sudden 
I just downloaded it from main site instead in the end at full speed, I think it was some kind of glitch with the old driver software not downloading the update properly as it didn't seem to be actually downloading after a point

Do a 'clean install' if your having problems with the software, you can find this option by selecting custom instead of express install.

My Geforece experience has been borked for a few updates now(just sits forever not responding if i try to update) i just update the driver direct of site
