I've got an Inspiron 1525 with the 1680 x 1050 15.4" truelife screen, anything less looks crap, so yes I'd pay the extra and get the best screen possible.

Are you planning on playing games? Because it will struggle, should handle HD movies with ease though.

no not so much a fpr games mostly watching movies. i heard msi making/made new laptops with some good specs hopefully can find some
