3466mhz memory cant get it to run even on XMP

Hi

wondered if anyone could help me to get my memory running as it should.

I have corsair vengenace 3466mhz led ram
on a Asus X99 deluxe II motherboard.

If I select xmp within the bios it shows my memory & at the correct speed then f10 to exit & save the system will not boot up at all, I have to clear the cmos to get back into the system again.
It will run fine at 2133mhz but nothing else

I'm unsure if there's something wrong with the memory or the motherboard.

would really appreciate some help on this matter

I managed to run corsair vengenace 3400Mhz memory albeit on a different deluxe II motherboard which I had to RMA due to a fault. So I know this board can do 3400 @ least.
