Just bought a 35 quid laptop off gumtree, dell latitude 750mhz P3 256mb ram. it came with case, dvd/cd drive, cd drive, floppy drive, zip drive and a network card. took it home, installed ubuntu and it works brilliantly, the battery hasnt been worn out like i suspected it would be; it charges perfectly and has plenty of battery life. the only damage i can see is superficial and easily fixed. seems too good to be true, i am almost certain it wasnt stolen, and the bloke who sold it had no knowledge of computers and just wanted to get rid as he bought a new one for his daughter. have i just got a brilliant deal?

i mean anything demanding such as games can be done on my main pc, i really cant find a catch

i was going to, but i already had the newest version of ubuntu burnt to cd for my desktop - so thought i may aswell try it.

it runs faster than expected, even with the 256mb ram, i was going to upgrade but now really dont feel the need.

:o ! Bargain !

I can't even get Ubuntu to run on my; 1.13GHz, 512mb ram - Refused to load the desktop [Graphics Problem] I'm guessing :(
So Crunchbang for me.

Ncie buy.
