this pc is going to be used to play league of legends only and maybe a few other games but mainly league of legends, thats why this build is going to be really cheap. league of legends isnt a huge graphic intensive game and with my macbook mid 2010 unibody laptop it runs at 60fps (vsync so it could probably run higher) with shaders off.

other than what is stated i will be using the pc for coursework, browsing, watching videos and some programming in the near future.

i do not need ssd and optical drive.

so far i have all the components except for the motherboard:

on my build i have £60 remaining which could buy a motherboard (or the one you have listed) and complete the build, would my build be a lot better than yours at exactly the same price?

how does that look?

£20.00 under budget, you could get a 1tb drive instead? Or buy a better case? or put it towards saving for a SSD? Otherwise that would be a great christmas present to wish for.

Edit, not under budget, in fact almost £2.00 over, my bad.

The R7 250 is a faster card than the 5800K inbuilt IGP.

The 5800K is clocked faster.

But you want a dual channel RAM kit for your spec.

From what I gather from reading around.... the R7 250 comes in at just under the HD 7750, by process of elimination......the 7770 is the better card

The R 250 has 2Gb but its GDDR3

This 7770 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-184-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1699

I think might be a faster core and has GDDR5 but its 1Gb, but it does include a Bronze ticket for some games.

Ive looked and cant find any R7 250 vs 7770 comparisons.

ok so ive changed some things around and since he doesnt use cpu intensive programs he doesnt need a 6300, he currently is using a intel core 2 duo p8600 2.4ghz which is absolutely fine for him and his only problem was his gpu which was a Nvidia GeForce 320M with 256 MB shared with main memory.

im guessing the cpu ive chosen is better than the intel core 2 duo so it should be fine.

all i need now is a motherboard for £60.

what do you think?

EDIT: sorry forgot to link the basket

The antec 450watt PSU is a good option for an extra few watts.

I'm currently benchmarking so on my phone. But check their R7 260 review to see if it beats a 7850 2gb card as there is a MSI one at £107

7850 :Core: 900MHz, Memory: 2048MB 4800MHz GDDR5, Stream Processors: 1024

r7 260x: Core: 1175MHz, Memory: 2048MB 6500MHz GDDR5, Stream Processors: 896

7850 costs £5 less. as far as i can see the only advantage the 7850 has are the stream processors.

i dont know much but the r7 260x seems better unless 7850's stream processors means its better?
