I need a new motherboard, ram, CPU and graphics card.
I like gaming and my current system won't run UT3.
I also do some video editing + lots of stills editing.

I'm thinking about an 8800GT but don't know whether the extra price for 512 is worth it over a 256 card.
I'm interested in a Q6600 but don't know whether the performance boost over dual core is worth it.

I just might splash out on a Raptor drive on top of the £350 (my current one is a WD caviar 120GB Sata 2) but again don't know if it is worth the extra £96 ex vat.

Any advice please?

Slightly over the £350 ex Vat but the 512mb version of the 8800GT is worth it over the 256mb one, particularly if you are playing at 1280x1024 or above.
