The time has come to ditch my trusty prebuilt HP pc and move back in to the game of building my own pc's.

I have £350 to spend on a base unit.

How would you guys spend that much?

Thanks for your help :)

I would say so yes, but its not better than the 5850 which is 130 pounds.
What will you be using the system for? do you need an OS etc?
Have you got an old system if so what can you take across? ( optica/hard drives)

I dont have a thing to carry over from my old system. OS would have to be an extra.

I just have £350 to spend on hardware :D

well with £350 to spend on hardware, you won't beat the first spec, so add a OS and your done.

If op doesnt intend to game on the pc initially i would say to get a quad core now and when/if he wants to game to get a GPU later, Games like CoD are now putting athlon tri cores as the minimum spec arent they?

Phenom X3 8750 thats what the system requirement is for black ops, i know the athlon 3 is better but if CoD requires a tripple core i would say spend more to get athlon quad core.
