£350 to spend on a graphics card - help!

Now is probably not the best time, as new gen cards are coming soon around summer time. But if you were to buy a card at around that price, then the Radeon R9 Nano is probably the one to go for.

Would be good if you could post the spec of your current system, so that people would have a better understanding of what you are using at the moment before recommending graphic card.

I'd also recommend waiting a month or so to see what the new cards from both sides look like before making a decision. If you really need something now though, I'd get an R9 390 and pocket the other £100.

Like Marine said, I would hold off on buying a card for now. With all the new cards due to be released soon.

I could be in the same situation soon, my 7990 developed a fault and was sent away to overclockers nearly 3 weeks ago :(

I would wait until the new cards are out, if you don't have a card get the 390, but really you need to wait as the £350 price range should be out in a month orso.

Get a cheap card to tie you over until the next gen release if you have not got a card now. I don't mean get a 390 either try to get something really cheap, secondhand maybe.

The next gen cards which are expected to start releasing this summer are a big update event due to the fact we are finally moving from the current 28nm chips to 14/16 nm's chips. All futre releases should be new architectures on the smaller dies so software support will prioritize those and last longer.

It's a bit mean to recommend a 390 without knowing their CPU, PSU and OS. What if they have an old i3 or Phenom, a 400W PSU and are running SteamOS?
They're doing a new build with a 6600K. Easy to know if you take the five seconds it requires to read their other posts. :)

Thanks all for the replies, I am just building my system now, so far all I have is a case and the asus z170 hero alpha motherboard, I have about £900 to spend on the rest of the components and was leaning towards a 6600k processor.
