Guys ,

I have £350 spare for an upgrade to play Bf3 ,

Rigg as follows ;

I5 ( old one ) @ 3.8 GHZ
Dell U2410 Monitor
4 MB of 1200 DDR 3 Ram
ATI 5870
120 GB SSD
2x 1TB HDD for storage
750w Psu
Windows 7

Now I have a few options here but since people are now playing can they tell me if I should bother upgrading with my current set up ?

Option 1

Get myself a Sandy bridge P67 rig already O/C by OCUK at 4.6 ghz by selling my existing CPU/ram and mobo for £150 on MEmbers market .

Was thinking of his.

Option 2

Buy a 120 he monitor like a Ben q 24 or is my U2410 more than upto it ?

Option 3

Now I could just buy a 580GTX http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-141-GW

Option 4

The slower and cheaper Sandybridge rigg from OCUK

That's £350
£150 for my mobo/ram/CPU on mm and £100 for my 5870 = £250 stretch to a 580GTX for another £100

Decisions decisions

Hello there,

I think your current setup looks vary capable, certainly replacing that quality Dell monitor seems like a bad idea.

You have your older i5 overclocked, is it a 750/760 or a 6** series CPU?.

The only thing to consider is a GFX upgrade or keep waiting for a more significant and meaningful upgrade, actually wait till you have a full version of the game with the newest ATI drivers and then see how you fair:)
