Right I'm wanting to get the Canon EOS 400d because their only seems to be about £60 between the 350d and the 400d so feel its worth the little extra for the extra features. Is there any reason I should go for the 350d other then it being abit cheaper.

Also where is the best place to get a camera. I'm wondering wheres the best price and service are, Maybe someone could suggest somewhere.

Cheers

Competitor rules prevent us from telling you were to get the camera. The 350D and 400D are basically the same. The 400D has anti-dust and higher mp. The 350D is cheaper. Go fish :)

wow just out of interest what camera have you got looking at your photos some are amazing I guess most have been edited but still look amazing.

Thanks :) Most of mine were taken with a Canon 10D, which can be bought 2nd hand for cheaper than a 350D. It has more features and a better body.

Forgive me for bursting into this thread...

What do you think of your Sigma 10-20mm? I am considering buying one in the very near future but would love to see some reviews.

Bought for £330, sold 1 image taken with it for £500. Nuff said :D

Bah Sigma 10 - 20. Id love to do my own tests on this lens as Im currently awaiting arrival of Canon 10 - 22.

I keep slagging the sigma off based on reviews I have read but I think I really do cut this lens too short.

I think for the money its a very good deal.

I'm in love with my Sigma 10-20, I think it's brilliant :)

(You can carry on with the 350D vs 400D stuff now)

I'm currently stuck on which camera to buy aswell.

As a guideline on what price to pay, I've managed to find it for just under £500 with the standard lense. As mentioned above though, I can not disclose where, but it should give you some sort of direction whilst hunting around.

So overall 350d vs. 400d which one or is there another contender bearing in mind the price is key and I would say £500 is my limit. :D

Dpreview finally have their 400D Review up, worth taking a look. £428.00 with kit lens for the 350D or £496.95 with kit lens for the 400D; I should have thought it goes without saying you may as well pay the little extra for the 400D.

Weirdly though if you buy the 350D the kit lens costs you £78.13 (cheapest price with kit lens - body only), yet with the 400D the kit lens costs you £28, which is roughly what the lens seems to fetch on auction sites.

I've been looking around a lot and people seem to suggest the Canon EF 28-105mm USM II f3.5-4.5 is a good replacement for the kit lens, it can be had for around £100 on an auction site (£170 new) - which may be worth it over the kit?

are you having a laugh? what about the better focusing? quite a major point tbh :p it's the same AF system used in the 30D

Bigger screen, better focusing system, better ergonomically, just generally an all round better camera and not much more than the 350D at all

No brainer tbh, 400D :)

Ah see well I don't really read up on things unless I need them so the 400D is just a 350D with a wobbly sensor to clean dust :D Anyway, they're both girl cameras ;)
