yes, its yet another one of these posts :)

In a couple of days time i'm going to get a new monitor (to replace my ageing 21" crt)and i have narrowed my choices down to either a

NEC MultiSync® LCD20WGX2 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-009-NE)
or
Dell Ultrasharp 2007WFP 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey (MO-011-DE)

after having spent the last 2 hours reading posts here i'm now more confused than i was, I do play lots of games but its mostly just WOW nowadays :) and it would be nice to be able to plug my XBox 360 into it as well (can you have the computer plugged in through DVI and the Xbox through VGA at the same time? and how do you switch between the 2?)

I'm starting to wish i hadnt read as many posts on here because before i had almost settled on the dell... :)

any comments would be very much appreciated before i spend this much on a monitor :)

also the NEC is out of stock, any idea when it'll be in? as im quite impatient and knowing me i'll just order whichever is in stock at the time :D

Thanks again

I'd say go for the 2007WFP :)

Yes, there is a button on the front of the Dell that you press to select the source.

I have the same choice a couple of weeks ago & plumped for the Dell, the hieght adjustment of the stand swung it for me in the end & the price difference at the time & i love it

Difficult choice though as the NEC is a top monitor as well

yeah, i've decided to go with my first choice of the dell :)
i think the money should be in my account tomorrow, so as long as its not out of stock i should be ordering at 12.01 am :D hehe.

i've put up with this 21" crt for so long now, it'll be nice to buy a desk that doesnt need half a tree to hold the monitor up :)

it's a very good screen and the flexibility of design and inputs should be beneficial to your needs i would think.
