Hi, in a previous post I had mentioned about my car being stolen and written off and this has affected my insurance. I had been wanting an S3 or an M3 but insurance has taken the M3 out of the equation and the S3 is allot of money for what is technicaly a fast golf, after lots of different quotes on lots of different cars I realised that the 350z was well within my insurance comfort zone, I like the look of them, they are fairly cheap to buy and they are RWD :D
Can anyone give me some info on what they are like to drive, I understand that there have been 3 different engine revisions (im looking at the 300 not the 313 or the 279) were there any suspensions other differences between these models or major improvements over the last revision?

:)

Test drove one a while back, loved everything about it but decided on a RX8 instead as it had 4 seats. Otherwise i might of got a 350Z. Also a Twin Turbo setup would be nice if you ever fancy more horses =D

I owned a 300hp model, I loved it, just a superb car.

With the traction control switched off it was really easy to power slide and very controlable. They are reliable too.

This could also be the same thing for me. I love everything about the 350z but the fact its only 2 seats may sway the vote to whatever other car...

I'm getting my 350z in June. I've test driven all 3 revisions and there isn't a massive difference between them all to be honest, the changes are quite subtle.

I'll probably be going for a 2004 or 2005 model - reason being is tax. 2006 and newer is basically gonna cost you upwards of £400 a year, anything older and its around the £200 mark.

Had the windows down and blasted through a long tunnel on my first test drive, from that point on I knew I had to get one!

I've got 2 weeks off work in June, thats when I'll be Zed shopping!

I've got a gunmetal MY06 for sale (so the 300PS model you're after), with KW V3 fully adjustable coilovers, uprated brakes, NISMO exhaust and high end custom audio install, 14000 miles and excellent condition if you're interested.

I had a 350Z test drive today, just a quick 10 minutes... I loved it! Made my CTR feel so underpowered afterwards.

One thing I noticed, is it normal to have a bit of vibration or feedback coming from the gear stick?

I'm genuinely interested to know why £200 makes a big difference on such a significant purchase.

It doesn't really. From what i can tell it's a case of the car being so similiar through the various revisions he doesn't mind getting a 05 one which will save him £200~ from tax per year which im sure will goto some shineys for the car or more hoon juice

I will own a 350z, just a matter of when :o

Yep it's normal, I don't think driving with one hand on the gearstick is best practice though ;) :)
