hi

well done on getting your new job.

i have recently got a new rig which is this and also a 2nd hand antec kuhler 620 watercooler for the cpu. my machine acts as a server for streaming to.

i want to start overclocking safely but am i little thick when it comes to it.

intel ivy 3570k processor
gigabyte Z77x Ud5H mobo
bios is F14
16 gig 2x8 gig kingston ddr3 hyper x 1600 mhz ram
120 gig agility 3 ssd
4 Sata 3 HDD - storage
AMD HD6850 GPU 1 gig xfx card
fractal design R3 case
blu ray drive
antec khuler 620 cpu cooler.

what settings can i safely set on that lot and is my case the best for OC'ing? i wanted it for the space and silence but my system is far from quiet. i am not sure whether to get full watercooled system or new gpu thats quiet.

i have it up to 4.3 ghz and i touched the vcore up 2 pts. stable now. will leave as this for a few wks to see how it does. didn;t touch anything else. whats ppl?

i have 16 gig of ram to stick in the beast which i haven't done, does the ram o/c at all or leave it as stock?

core temps with core temp shows around 31c at this time, not under load. bouncing around 26-28 c

cheers.

i brought the 16 gig as it was a great deal on OC at the time a few wks back and i thought it would aid the transcoding of movies on the fly as my pc is also my server and media centre, although i experience stuttering problems streaming to my PS3 through my homeplug setup, may be the PS3 as it drops it connection to media centre all the time.

is o/c ing ram easy and worthwhile?
