Just recently moved across to the darkside,3570k with a gigabyte z77 d3h motherboard.Havnt had much time to mess around, but i have got to 4.4ghz stable (ish)at 64*c,my core voltage is 1.25,and the only other adjustment i made was v core llc to turbo.when im at idle frequency goes down to 1.6 but voltage stays the same according to cpuz, however in core temp vid says it is lowering, which one is these to monitors is the most reliable or is it something to do with llc, defeats the object if the voltage is staying high

Thanks for the info, tink i got other bios issues at the moment, the voltage issue appears to be ok now, think i need to look into o/c guides for my gig z77 as im not 100% on what im doing!!!!

ok thanks for that,i found something similiar on that site,i have been messing about in my bios and got to fairly stable 4.5ghztested for an hour at 74*c,but my voltage was at 1.32,any thin i can do to lower this? as i been trying a few different setting, still struggling a bit with settings not sure about

i managed to get the frequency lower in idle, i adjusted windows power otions, but hwmonitor also says voltage is still 1.32,i tried lowering the cpu voltage in windows advanced power options, but not sure i was doing it right

ok,been messing with power settings, keep getting the odd blue screen and mouse freezing, seems it happens when im adjusting any think to do with power, happens in both bios and windows, think i might have to reset everything ive set in the bios and start again,i will reset to turbo llc again(i dropped it down to medium)what setting is the offset voltage (sorry for being thick)

i wondered why that was greyed out, thanks for that,i will do that later on as im away from my desk top at the moment,i feel like i might be getting somewhere now, thanks for the help
ps,i have a gelid heat spreader,once i get this stable i think i will attempt a delid!!!

ok i will think about that,i still got some problems, however my voltage and frequency drop down fine now thanks, but im stressing at the moment and my voltage seems too high,4.5 was 1.38v,temps were about 74*c,how do i get the voltage down,is setting the offset up the answer,i got it 0.000 at the moment,c1e and speedstep i set to auto,

ok,im set at 4.4ghz,llc is on high, and offset -0.005,the voltage is 1.35 so its quite high still, how low can i go on dvid? at least everythink goes low when at idle

ok,back again, llc set to low and offset is 0.0020,running 4.4ghz @1.308,70*c hottest core after about an hour, idles fine @ 1.6ghz,0.9v so it appears alls good, although i have had the odd blue screens, not sure what this is ,however i have now set achi back to ide and things seem to have calmed down now,i might do a fresh install of windows next week and set achi BEFORE i install windows, thanks for the help
