Hi,ive been messing around with fixed and offset o/cing.fixed voltage @4.4ghzt is about 1.27v ,when i use offset method, any higher than the low llc setting(which gives me 1.322 with an offset of -0.020v)if i go any higher the voltage goes up quite sharpley(if i set a high llc it goes up to about 1.38)apart from the voltages what do the different llc settings do and do you think my settings of low llc and -0.020v offset are ok,my tempsdont go above low 60 s when gaming
Ps ifi try to go for 4.5ghz,i have to reset my cmos and i get freezing in my bios

Your settings are fine. LLC just applies a correction factor to the standard Intel Vdroop curve to make the actual voltage applied closser to what the user sets in Bios.

I prefer fixed Vcore for overclocking as with offset the actual CPU chooses the starting Vcore value and theefore instability can occur under no load as the CPU is not setting it high enough and you here are taking of volts. This is probably causing the freeze in bios.

Thanks for the reply, understand things a bit better now, managed to get 4.5ghz with 1.32 v on fixed.and temps are creeping towards 80c,think ill try for 4.6-4.8ghz although my present cooler may not cope,i think ive found the sweatspot of 4.4ghz,this will be my 24/7 o/c,
Thanks again
