3570k OCed @ Load - Heatsink not even warm?!

Currently have my 3570k overclocked @ 4.4GHz, 1.26v with a Phanteks PH-TC14PE Heatsink. Idle temps are 28-32 degrees (fine), at load can go up to 75 degrees which wouldn't bother me too much...except the heatsink and heatpipes aren't warming up at all!

I've reseated the heatsink and applied the correct amount of TIM (Gelid GC-Extreme) with no difference, are my only options "deal with it" or de-lid? Feel a little silly splashing out on a top air cooler only for it to have no work to do :(

There is no need to de-lid your processor, the reason for this is the same reason as to why the Ivy Bridge line of processors get hot. They simply don't transfer the heat away from the processor to the heatsink efficiently. You're cooler is working fine, this is just simply how Ivy Bridge runs. :)

Think about it this way, if you were to run 4.4 @ 1.26v with a stock cooler, you'd fry your chip. All is good mate.

edit// Here is someone who has removed the IHS from their chip - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=22012015&postcount=429
tbh I'm pretty shocked about it, I'd do the same but I'm a bit scared to !
