Just got my i5 3570k rig up and running today. No overclocking as yet. Though i ran a quick stress test, (p95 small fft). Temps maxed at, 60-60-59-54. Does this seem a bit on the high side? Cooling is an Alpenfohn k2.

Had a play about with fan settings in ai suite, and tried the turbo v function for a quick and dirty oc, (4223mhz). Load temps of, 61-62-60-54. I know that windows based utilities arent the best for oc'ing due to the high levels of vcore they tend to set, (cpu-z was reading 1.244v at load).

Sounds good to be honest.

My 3770K @ 4.5 takes 1.295v and averages 70C across all four cores and that's under water.

Thats good to hear. It's a good 6-7c lower than my old manually oc'd i7 920 at 4.0ghz. Memory speed has dropped from the xmp setting of 800mhz to 686mhz, after applying the settings in turbo v.
