Hey Everyone,

I have a 3570K and have always ran it with Turbo boost on (just bumps up the multiplier I think) and this is coupled with a MSI Z77A-G43 mobo and Cooler Master Evo 212 cooler.

Now I have noticed that sometimes it will hit 1.2V and when running IBT doesn't actually hit the 3.8Ghz that Turbo boost puts it up to. However I have noticed it go higher before so that's not a problem. (goes down to 0.9V when idle)

However, does the voltage sound about right? As I have seen people overclocking their chips higher that 4ghz on little more volts than I am running and wondering if my "auto" voltage is overvolting slightly?

Thanks in advance,
Cam.

Voltage on the IB series, as with any other chip is lottery really. At the minute running at 4.4GHz I hit about v1.256 under top load, to hit 4.6GHz I needed to pump v1.384 through it to be stable. FAR too much I know, didn't feel comfortable with it.

I've seen chips need just over v1.15 for 4.6GHz. It's just luck of the draw. Imo don't go over 1.3, 1.2 is alright though as long as you have adequate cooling.
