Based on a few other forum threads I've read...

Now this is what I call a calculated MS offensive. It's fantastic they're trying to stop the traditional summer game drought.

May - Forza Motorsport 2 & Mass Effect
June - Shadowrun
July - Too Human & Darkness
August - Blue Dragon & Bioshock
September - Halo 3 & Assassins Creed
October - Grand Theft Auto IV & Virtual Fighter 5
November - Project Gotham Racing 4
December - Lost Odyssey

Quite a line up; really wets the appetite!

I don't think I have ever heard of half of them. If it isn't a sequel or Bulletwitch then I have no idea what it is about. Assassins creed I have heard of :)
Still I have yet to finish Gun, Oblivion, Condemned, Full Auto and a bunch of other games.

Great list on paper, in reality there's only 3 games at the most that I will definately buy. GTA, Halo 3, Assassins Creed.

Of those 3, I do have concerns about how 2 of them will turn out.

I wasn't overly impressed with either of the first two Halo games, so while I will still buy Halo 3, I don't expect to be blown away by it.

And with Assassins Creed, very little is known about how the game will actually play. All the hype so far is based on the concept and design, if the gameplay lives up to these then it should be awesome. But, I've seen it too many times where a game looks excellent in concept, but when it comes down to the finished product, it just doesn't live up to it.

The rest of the games will depend largely on reviews whether or not I buy any of them.

Blue Dragon (ブルードラゴン, Burū Doragon?) is a console role-playing game for the Xbox 360 video game console. It was developed by Mistwalker and Artoon and published by Microsoft Game Studios, based on a design by Final Fantasy series originator Hironobu Sakaguchi, who also supervised development and wrote the scenario.

Each year for the past ten years, purple clouds would appear, and bring disasters to people around the world.

When their village is attacked again Shu, Kluke, and Jiro fight back against the fin that appears to kill the people. However they discover it is a strange machine. But even after damaging it, it takes them back to the flagship, with the three still on it.

There, they encounter constant attacks from metal soldiers until they discover three orbs of light. After hearing a voice tell them to swallow the orbs, they do and discover their shadows grow into monsters; Kluke's becomes a blue phoenix, Jiro's a blue minotaur, and Shu's a blue dragon. They then fight the ship's captain, Nene, and discover that Nene is behind the yearly attacks on their town. He easilly defeats them, and they can barely make it to a escape capsule. They then land far from home and must then journey to find a way to save their land.

Following their escape from Nene's air fortress, they encounter more people from towns that have also fallen victim to the purple clouds, and decide that they must try to stop Nene from continuing to bring ruin on their world.

4 editors reviewed Blue Dragon on a 1-10 scale and in total the score was 37/40

Here are the translated reviews

Grade: 9
From the meticulously-woven story to the easy-to-comprehend battles and gentle (game) balance, the title allows even the most basic of beginners to jump right in. Even so, the game’s battles offer a considerable degree of play depth, and other elements such as the enormous number of objects that can be examined will tickle the fancy of gamers. An RPG worthy of being labeled an evolutionary step in the right direction.

Grade: 9
This title shaped up to be a classic visit to the RPGs of old with the latest technology. Of particular mention is the light and gentle nature of the visuals and a (character) growth sytem that compells tinkering by the player with its high degree of freedom. While the presentation and movies in the game do not stand out in particular, the sense of balance experienced while progressing through the game’s story is exquisite.

Grade: 9
A well-balanced RPG that took the direct route and succeeded. Battles are an enjoyable experience thanks to the categories and skills belonging to (the character’s) shadows and a system that allows you to make the enemies fight each other. The moving story is complemented with a variety of events that gradually find their way into your heart. Given this, it was a bit odd to experience actions such as searching an enemy’s poop.

Grade: 10
A pleasing and meticulously-crafted RPG through and through, from the battles to the command setup throughout the game. It’s difficult to come up with another RPG title that barely induces stress even after long hours of play. Toriyama’s art comes to life on the screen, and can be experienced in all its glory in both the movies and battles. Let’s not forget the boss battle tune sung by Ian Gillan!

I should add, it's Lost Odyssey, a more mature rpg from the same studio and lead designer about a man who has been sentenced to live for 1,000 years that gets me really really excited.

Only three worth their salt, GTA4, Forza and Mass Effect. Can't stand the Halo games, overated, too linear and too dull.

Might have to get PGR4 though :)

Great sources ;) :p

Lol, what I meant is many of the games don't have official release dates so I've worked out best guesses (eg recent speculation for Halo 3). Forza 2 I just got wrong as it's the only game on the list I'm not interested in :P
