360 and Network HDD

Whoah!
Forgive my dumbness but would one of those connect wirelessly to my router and then enable me to share 1 media library with all the computers and the xbox on my home network?
How do the machines connect to it? Through windows explorer or via the web browser?

You just need to look for DLNA devices (which is the multimedia sharing/streaming protocol this device supports). An example is WMP 11 (windows), PS3 and various other software clients support it (on all OSes). The PS3 supports the "rival" format, UPnP. I have not looked at the device you mentioned in detail, but it would be surprising if the device supported DLNA and not UPnP.

This one supports iTunes streaming as well, which normally means, dump all your music on it. Turn on iTunes in its config and it will display that music as a shared iTunes library.

Not directly, as it doesn't seem to support media sharing.

Something like > http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp... Gigabit Ethernet NAS Hard Drive (HS-DH1000GL) > would.

hmmm i was looking to spend a little less, i know its a case of you get what you pay for tho.... myt just be better getting a Ex-HDD as i offen stream songs to my ipod wen am out and about for that i need the PC on with program running...

was just a case of storing media then not needing PC on to steam it to the xbox.
