360 and sdtv

just i got streetfighter and a brand new 360 today and it don't load its the only game that i got so can't try another game but the movies i have work fine.

In theory they should all work as the 360 has an independent scaler chip that the games are unaware of (360 will always output at 720p, but the scaler will up/down scale that afterwards).

Try downloading a demo to test.

just tried it on another console and it works just don't on my new one. ill have to take the console back to the shop.

that funny just tried 2 games they work then tried sf again now it works lol console prob needed warming up lol.

Biggest problem I had with 360 on SDTV was overscan, used to lose a good couple of cm's of picture either side of the screen, so like on Lost Odyssey you couldn't see the first letter of menu options lol

Worked fine though.

One thing i'll say, if you are running a 360 on an SDTV, GET AN RGB SCART CABLE, the image quality vs the standard Composite cable they ship with it is night and day.

Actually makes text readable, stops all the colour bleed in games with high contrast (like mirrors edge), and generally just makes everything look a million times better.

I could have sworn black and blue there was but I searched Eurogamer and they have an article which states on 13/9/08 that Capcom weren't entertaining the idea of a patch at all. Looks like you're right!

A friend of mine has an ancient SDTV that doesn't support 60hz, because of this he is unable to play guitar hero or any other games that require 60hz (don't know which ones those are mind). Ended up lending one of my SDTVs so he could play
