360 and SKY router?

Tried setting this up last night at a friends and seemed to have a nightmare. The PC is a fresh install of Vista, and never had any problems with this on my own setup.

The router is the SKY one which I think is the DG834GT. I made some firewall changes on it but unsure if they are right.

Does anyone else have this Vista>DG834GT>Xbox360 setup and could you advise whats needed to make it work?

At the moment, both the Xbox and PC are on the internet fine - we can access Xbox Live for example, but when I run the Media Connection test it just says that the PC can't be found.

The strange thing is that if I go into Media Player and the media sharing bit, it shows the 360 there and says it's allowed so the PC knows about the 360.

Any help would be appreciated - I'm guessing its down to ports on the router.

i have the same setup at home and it was pretty much just plug and play without needing to change any port settings

is it the same version of vista that you and your mate are using ?

had the same problem when i moved onto sky 2 weeks ago easy fix in my case before i manualy set all the ip addy dns etc but after setting it all to auto it was all fine so i would try that
